SWIVTV – IPTV Subscription Set Up Once, Easy for Whoever Holds the Remote

Sports on SWIVTV IPTV: the Game One Button Away

Find the competitions they follow in the table below, put the channels from those rows into their favorites, and the Sunday phone call asking where the game has gone stops coming.

Most fans know the team, the competition and roughly when it starts. Very few know which broadcaster holds the rights this season, and nobody should have to find out by scrolling through 25,000+ channels while the first half is already under way. So this page works backwards from the competition: the channels that carry it, which of those belong in the favorites of the person watching, and what they can do on their own when a stream misbehaves. Set it up once, in one visit, and the remote does the rest.

Start with what they follow, not with channels

Before the visit, ask the fan three questions and write the answers down:

  • Which competitions? "The football" can mean the Premier League, La Liga or the Champions League, and each of those sits on different channels.
  • Which team, if any? In American sport the team decides the regional channel: the Bally Sports regional, YES Network, NESN or MSG that shows their games. All of them are in the channel list.
  • Does the picture matter to them? On a big 4K TV, sport is where 4K earns its place. On a smaller set, HD is all they need, and it is steadier on a modest connection.

Then use the table. Each row is a competition, and the last column lists the channels to add to their favorites. Someone who follows the NFL and nothing else needs the handful of channels in one row, not a sports category with hundreds of entries.

Building their sports row, step by step

  1. Pick one to three rows

That covers most fans. Note the channels in those rows and leave the rest of the sports category alone; anything else can still be found with the search.

  2. Add the channels in the order of their week

The channel they use most goes in the first slot. For someone who follows the NFL on Sunday afternoons, NFL RedZone makes a good first slot: it moves between the live games on its own, so the remote can stay on the arm of the chair. In IPTV Smarters on a Fire TV Stick, holding the select button on a channel adds it to favorites.

  3. Put the HD version straight after any 4K channel

If their TV and connection can carry 4K, add the 4K channel and its HD version one after the other. When the 4K picture struggles, the same game in HD is one step down the list, and they never need to know why.

  4. Switch the program guide on

A game is easier to find by its start time than by guessing the channel. In IPTV Smarters, the option "Enable EPG on live TV" sits under Settings, EPG. TiViMate is built around a guide grid; set it to refresh every 12 hours under Settings, TV guide, and the listings stay current without anyone touching them.

  5. Use a cable for 4K

Wi-Fi is fine for HD. For 4K, a network cable from the router to the box, or an Ethernet adapter on a Fire TV Stick, removes the most common reason a picture stutters. The 4K page covers what else 4K needs.

  6. Find one live game together

Before you leave, ask them to find a game using nothing but their favorites. If they manage it twice without asking you anything, the job is done. The Firestick guide and the TiViMate guide cover the install itself.

When the picture misbehaves in the middle of a game

Sooner or later a stream will stutter at the worst possible moment. Agree in advance who does what, so nobody has to improvise:

  • What they can do alone: step to the HD version you placed next to the channel. If the app itself has frozen, switch the device off at the wall, wait ten seconds, and switch it back on.
  • What to check next: the router. If its lights look different from usual, restart it the same way and give it a couple of minutes.
  • What you can sort out later, from home: the decoder setting (hardware decoding, under Settings, Player settings in IPTV Smarters), moving the box onto a cable, or thinning out their favorites if the list has grown.
  • Who to message: support on WhatsApp, at any hour. Support will talk to the person watching directly as well, so they are not stuck waiting until you are free.

Write the first two lines on a card and leave it next to the TV. Keep the login off that card; it stays in your WhatsApp chat, where it arrived.

Two games at once, and recording

Some fans want a second game in the corner of the screen; most are happy with one. If yours is the first kind and watches on Android TV, Google TV, a Fire TV Stick or an Android box, TiViMate Premium adds multi-view and recording. It is bought in the separate TiViMate Companion app on a phone, not inside TiViMate on the TV, and costs about $9.99 a year or a one-off lifetime license in the mid-$30s, with a seven-day trial.

Each window in multi-view is a stream of its own, so two games side by side need a plan with at least two streams. Plans run from one to five streams at the same time, and you can install the player on as many devices as you like. TiViMate does not exist for Apple TV, Samsung or LG; on those, IPTV Smarters is the player to use. The pricing page lists every plan.

Pay-per-view events

UFC, boxing and WWE premium events appear in the line-up as channels, with no extra charge on the day, and the big events come in 4K. For the person watching, that means no separate purchase and no new app. Add the event channel to favorites in the week of the event, and take it out again afterwards so the list stays short.

Try it during a game they care about

Free 24-hour trial with every sports channel. No card needed.

Sport on IPTV: common questions

How do I make the game easy to find for someone who hates menus?

Put the channels that carry their competitions into favorites, in the order they use them, and switch the program guide on. The table on this page lists those channels competition by competition. Before you leave, check that they can reach a live game from their favorites alone, twice, without asking you anything.

Is the NFL on SWIVTV IPTV?

Yes. The regular season and the playoffs are covered across NFL Network, NFL RedZone, ESPN and the CBS, FOX and NBC broadcasts. For someone who would rather not change channels on a Sunday afternoon, put RedZone in the first slot: it moves between the live games by itself, and the remote can stay where it is.

Is the Premier League included?

Yes. Sky Sports and TNT Sports, the British broadcasters that show it, are carried, along with the other broadcasters in the table, such as NBC Sports, USA Network and Optus Sport. One match can therefore appear on more than one channel with different commentary, so ask which commentary they like and add that channel first.

Are pay-per-view events like UFC and boxing included?

Yes, with no extra charge on the day. UFC, boxing and WWE premium events appear as channels in the line-up, and the big ones come in 4K. There is nothing to buy separately, which matters when the person watching is not the person who set everything up.

Which app is best for following sport on IPTV?

TiViMate, if they watch on Android TV, Google TV, a Fire TV Stick or an Android box. Its guide grid makes a game easy to find by start time. The Premium upgrade, paid for in the TiViMate Companion phone app, brings recording and multi-view. Nobody makes TiViMate for Apple TV or for Samsung and LG sets; IPTV Smarters does the job there.

What should they do if the game freezes?

Step to the HD version of the same channel, which you placed next to it in favorites. If the whole app has stopped, restart the device, then check the router. If it is still wrong, message support on WhatsApp; support will talk them through it directly, so they do not have to wait until you are free.

Can two games play at the same time?

Yes, with TiViMate Premium multi-view, but each game on screen is its own stream. A one-stream plan plays one channel at a time, so two games side by side need a plan with at least two streams. Plans run from one to five streams, and the number of devices you install on is unlimited.
